John Cameron Mitchell Manchester reviews
classic comedians
Steve Martin and John Cameron Mitchell are always entertaining. The sound is very rich when Steve and the band play blue grass; I am not a blue grass aficionado, but it is captivating. It appears that they didn't have much prepared material, somewhat like two old friends reminiscing. Listening to the two of them tell stories of show business and the experiences they have had was very funny and hysterical. Even though they have reached the pinnacle of fame, it is impressive that they still are in awe of others in the spotlight of fame. The Oakdale is good for music, but disappointing for a more intimate show. I have been to the Oakdale several times for concerts, and in the 21st century, the screens are awful; either poor quality or poor lighting. The screens should be upgraded for the price of the show; they are no better than my view, which were orchestra seats.
